If you are new to fundraising, let us help you understand the jargon, terms, language and words used.
Fundraiser - A planned / organized event to earn funds. This event usually includes selling products, pledges or something in return for the "donation".
Brochures or Catalogs or Order Takers - Refers to the sales materials that will be used to show and collect orders of the product being sold for the fundraiser.
Contact person(s) or Chairperson(s) - The person who is responsible for organizing, setting up and executing the fundraiser.
Tax Exempt Certificate - This is an issued certificate that must be provided to the supplier to avoid paying sales tax on the products purchased for resale for product fundraising.
